Hands-On Training: Clinical
Performance Lab

At Seattle University’s 20,000-sq.-ft. Clinical Performance Lab—just blocks from campus—you’ll apply classroom knowledge in realistic, hands-on scenarios. With access to high-, mid- and low-fidelity manikins, three simulation suites and trained actors, you’ll develop foundational clinical skills and communication techniques. This hands-on training prepares you to confidently provide patient care as you progress from pre-licensure coursework to advanced practice nursing in your chosen specialty.

Prelicensure for APNI-DNP Students

In the first year as a student in the Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) program, you’ll complete 67 credits of pre-licensure coursework and prepare to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam, earning your RN license. Upon successful completion, the APNI-DNP program continues into advanced practice and doctoral study in years 2-4, where you’ll develop the expertise needed to thrive in your chosen specialty. Choose from five in-demand areas: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health, Nurse-Midwifery or Women’s Health.
